About

My goal at Illuminate Learning Partners is to meet you where you are to start the next step of your educational journey.

I have over 30 years of experience in early intervention, school-based services, and private evaluations with children and adults. Within public schools, I’ve created and monitored intervention plans, initiated team evaluations, and developed Individual Education Plans. In private schools, my efforts facilitated school teams to address diverse student needs. I have also conducted university research and supervised the training of graduate level clinicians.

As a learning specialist, I remediate reading, writing, and math disabilities, as well as reinforce learning in other subject areas. An avid learner myself, I follow current research and invest in programs that support my teaching, such as Wilson and Intensive Phonics, multi-sensory math methods, and curricula to support written expression. Some of my recent trainings include Social Emotional Learning, Technology Addiction, and ADHD / Executive Functioning interventions.

My professional life is inspired by the varied ways we navigate learning and challenges, including stories from my own family. I value communication, respect, and open-minded problem solving. As a Member of the International Coaching Federation and ADHD Certified Educator, I am passionate about helping children, young adults, and parents build understanding and strategies for success.
